Using Guard Dogs for Home Security

The use of the guard dogs for the security of the house is a very old practice. The Chinese palace was also guarded by the dogs and since then the dogs are used as the best security option. But, nobody can deny the fact that the dogs are one of the better ways to provide the security to the house and they are being used from very long periods. There are certain breeds of dog that match the job of providing security to the houses. The trained dogs excel at this task and so they are better guards than the others. The dogs are trained to bark at the strangers but not at the members of the house and so they are the best type of security alarms. They are trained in such a way that if any unknown person enters the boundary of your house, they start barking and act as an alarm to let you know that somebody just entered the house might be dangerous for you!

Reducing the threat

The presence of dogs in the house helps in reducing a threat from burglars and thieves to a great extent. No thief would like to get caught, so, they often avoid entering such houses where they could find a dog. But, some dogs bark at almost everything and thus they need to be trained well so that they become reliable to guard the house!

Taming the guard dogs

It would be better to build a door through which the dog can move in and out of the house but the door should not be a big one as it provides the burglars with the best way to move into the house. Again it should not be a small one such that the dog cannot move through it easily. The door is of great importance because some dogs have a habit of patrolling and so the conditions become suitable for them.

But, it is the responsibility of the owners of the house/master of the dogs that they must train them under an expert or a good trainer so that dogs do not bark unnecessarily; must understand the gestures and should able to safeguard the house from being robbed. It is seen that dogs make different sounds on different occasions, such as if dogs are happy, they start licking and sounds slowly but when they are angry, they bark loudly; jump and become wild. Thus, it is also necessary for the house members to understand the gestures of dogs so that they easily come to know what the dog is trying to convey or why the dog is barking.

The taming of dogs become very handy in some situations as they are considered to be the most faithful animal and they can become the best friend of a man!
